The sun was slowly rising over Unique City with its rays as a sign that a new day had come forth.

Dave was still asleep on the bed along with Emma who had her hands on his body with her face very close to his.

They stayed like that for a while until the goalkeeper slowly opened his eyes.

He turned his gaze to Emma to see that she was still asleep before he picked up his phone to see that the time was already 6:10 AM. π‘™π’Ύπ’·π˜³π‘’π‘Žπ˜₯.𝒸ℴ𝓂

The slightest move he made in trying to quietly get up from the bed and not wake up was all that was needed to wake her up.

She let out a soft moan and blinked her eyes a couple of times before fully opening them.

"Oh, hey, you are awake." She said with a bright smile on her face. "Good morning."

"Good morning," Dave replied.

"I guess you're trying to quietly leave the room just like you always do." She said before snuggling closer to him.

"Ha ha, you caught me." The goalkeeper said, sounding a bit nervous.

"Can't you just stay here with me?" She said, "Stay in bed with me."

"I would love to but don't you have to go to work?" He asked.

"Yeah, but I'm going to work late today."

"Late, why?"

"I have a couple of things I need to do before leaving."

"Then shouldn't we go downstairs to get things ready so that you can finish it before heading off to work?" He asked.

"Don't worry about it, it's almost done, I just need to add a few finishing touches which won't even take up to five minutes."

"Almost done with it, when did you…?"

"I worked on it last night after you fell asleep. I worked on it last night because I just wanted to spend a little more time with you."

"Oh, I see."

"Yeah." She said before she pulled her face closer to his and pressed her lips against his.

<I'm closing my eyes>

'How do I even know that's true?'

She didn't need to do much to put him in the mood just looking at her pretty face was enough.

Their passionate kissing lasted for a while before she slowly pulled back.

"Why your lips are…"

She wasn't able to finish that sentence as she felt something rushing up her throat and quickly got up from the bed before quickly rushing out of the room with her robes on.

"Hey, what…."

<The morning sickness strikes again>

'I thought you said your eyes were closed.'

<Yeah, but if I close my eyes with my hands, I can't close my ears with anything so they're wide open and they are picking up every melodious sound from your eye-catching activities>

"Oh, just forget it." He said before sitting up on the bed.

He made his way out of the room and straight to the bathroom to see that door was closed.

She was in there because he could hear from outside.

"Hey, babe, are you okay?" He asked before slowly knocking on the door.

There was no response from her for about three minutes before the door was suddenly opened by her.

"Yeah, I'm okay, I just had to let out some things which I didn't need to let out." She said,

"I see, then can we….?"

"No." She said before getting closer to him.

<Oh, no>

"I'm sorry." She said before she hurriedly made her way downstairs.

"Well, at least this means that I can go for my run now." He said before slowly turning his gaze toward the staircase.

<You said that but you seem to be upset down here>

'A little, yeah, but it's okay, she's going through a lot compared to me anyway.'

_____ ____

This morning turned out to be quite a hectic one for Dave, he almost ran into a couple of people when he went out for his morning run but he was quick enough to take the path into the forest and avoid them.

That was a close one for him, if those people saw him then things could have ended a bit differently.

He was very popular in Unique City now among football fans and even non-football fans.

'Emma's right, walking the streets of Unique City without any bodyguard is no longer safe for me.' The goalkeeper said subconsciously as he ran down the street.

<Yeah, and you had to sneak off without telling her, and just like most of the time you also forgot your phone at home, you have an inventory that can store up to three items now why do you keep forgetting that? You don't even need a pocket to bring your phone with you everywhere you go>

'Yeah, that's true, but how will I know when someone calls me and it starts ringing?'

<I will inform you, that's part of my job>

'Okay, I think I'll start using it for that and as for leaving without telling Emma, I'm always prepared for her yelling and nagging.'

<Yeah, I guess you're always prepared for that>

______ ______

The goalkeeper got home to receive the nagging and yelling just like he expected, and even after telling her that nothing happened, she kept on nagging him.

"If you have to go out for a run, go early or use the thing Clark got for you." She said before crossing her arms.

"Okay," Dave said before slowly bringing his head down. "I liked the way you were last night although you were a bit crazy for the woman I married."

"Crazy?" She said before quickly turning her gaze back to him.

"Oh, no, it's nothing." He said before he quickly got up from the couch and rushed upstairs.

The two ate their breakfast together while talking about a couple of things.

He couldn't keep up with how many times he got her mad with his words because she failed to get the joke.

By 2:00 PM, she finally left the house to go take care of other things at her workplace and now, he could breathe easily at least until she gets back.

"I hope she'll be in a better mood when she gets back." He said before turning away from the door. "I sort of liked that crazy side of her I saw for the first time last night."

<You mean you loved it>

'I told you to leave my thoughts in my head, don't say it to me.'

<Oh, I'm sorry>

He had a little relaxing moment watching a couple of shows for about an hour before he finally decided to go outside and check something out.

He set up the goalpost on the lawn before he returned to the garage and dragged out the ball blaster.

'Now, to get this skill to level five.'

<Yeah>

'Thrust?'

Checking back at the skull's info, the word written there now was 'thrust' instead of double jump.

'The skill evolved?'

<Yeah>

'You never told me that could happen.' He said subconsciously with a shocked expression on his face.

<Well, now you know, test it out and see the difference>

'Okay.'

[ Thrust activated ]

He quickly tried to jump up and just at that moment, he felt something push him up below allowing him to reach a height that he could never jump to on his own.

"Waoooh." He said in excitement after dropping back to the floor. "This is awesome and unlike the double jump, it's not obvious at all."

<Yeah, but there's a bit of a problem>

'Oh, I can see what you're talking about.'
